Thursday, August 24, 2017, the final round was done in connection with the comissioning of the environmental works linked to the cable works. Elia provides a new 150kV substation in Ypres from which a new 150 / 15kV transformation station in Neerwaasten is fed. For this, a new 150kV cable is set between Ypres and Bas Warneton.
We renewed the road over a total length of almost 18 km. Restored roadsides in its original state and with respect for local biodiversity. But in particular, the Bijlander road wich is managed by W & Z and in conjunction with the city of Ypres and ANB as a cycling highway from Ieper to Heuvelland. With the beautiful open frame of landscapes and views of the Westhoek.
