HT Trace Ieper Baswarneton

As part of a project to construct a new, subterranean 150 kV cable connection on the territory Ypres and Heuvelland, between the power station of Ypres and Bas-Warneton, we supported our client ELIA with road and landscape restoration.

This cable is necessary to provide a reliable electricity supply as a result of the increasing electricity consumption in the region. The currently existing 70 kV is no longer sufficient  to provide the same quality of electricity.

This project is part of a bigger investment program, to create a 150 kV cable network for the supply of the region Bas-Warneton and Wijtschate.

In this way the whole region will be able to enjoy a simplified grid infrastructure that provides a solution for the challenges of tomorrow and ELIA can continue to guarantee high quality electricity in the region.
