N975 Gerpinnes-Hanzinelle infrastructure works in synergy

In order to ensure the reliability of the grid and the security of supply of the zone, Elia, the operator of the Belgian electricity transmission system, will construct an underground connection with a voltage level of 12.6 kV (medium voltage) over a total distance of 7.4 km on the territory of the municipality of Gerpinnes and the city of Florennes. In accordance with the legislation in force, these works are carried out in collaboration with other utility companies (ORES, Luminus and Proximus). This ensures that all public utility works take place at the same time and that the impact of the work on mobility and the living environment is limited as much as possible.

Due to the complexity of the joint construction and its impact on the road infrastructure, especially on the road body of the N975, AVALON L+E was appointed for technical support during the implementation phase.
