Vertical garden project Ghent

With 550 families, from 11 different districts within the city of Ghent, participating in a city project called ‘energy districts’. The goal of the project was saving energy. The families participated to both save money, protect the environment and to win a 5.000 euro ‘district reward’. Six districts chose an artwork as reward, the other 5 districts chose 200 facade gardens per district.

The district reward covered the administrative processing (because you need a permit for a front garden), the potting soil and the plants for the first 1000 applicants from these 5 districts.

Our job: composing 1000 seperate permit applications, communication and organisation of the planting day.
