Windpark Kernebet - France • Site optimisation for the expansion for an already existing wind farm

Commissioned by the developer, we investigated how the expansion of the currently existing wind farm could be realized, taking into account the legal and physical limitations of the site. This included the simulation of the environmental factors, the sound calculations and the shadow calculations; as well as the calculations of the expected returns based on the available wind measurement data. In consultation with local actors, farmers, municipality, provincial government and environment, the wind turbines were rearranged and a new permit was prepared for submission.
